Vocational beauty training
Beauty for a Better Life training delivers free, high quality beauty training to vulnerable women worldwide, helping to improve their lives and employment prospects.

Finding work and hope through vocational beauty training
Our international Beauty for a Better Life training program delivers free, high quality vocational beauty training to vulnerable women.
Established in 2009, the program is designed to help women coming from underprivileged backgrounds gain access to employment or create their own businesses through access to courses on hairdressing, make-up, manicure and beauty advice.
This program is co-developed with L’Oréal Group subsidiaries and implemented through partnerships with local non-profit organizations. In 2024,, we partner with 46 local NGOs in 21 countries to deliver training through 329 centres.¹
From selecting eligible target audiences and co-designing training content tailored to their needs, to addressing local challenges and requirements, these organizations play a significant role in the field of economic and social inclusion. Their expertise is therefore essential to the success of the Inclusive Beauty training program.
¹ Actions carried out outside the European Economic Area, as described on this page, are carried out within the framework of French applicable regulations.
67,000 women have had access to vocational beauty training since 2016

In addition to technical expertise, we promote social and interpersonal skills, offer practical help with searching for internships, jobs or entrepreneurship opportunities, and support participants in realising their ambitions.
Each student is awarded with a recognised diploma developed in partnership with local authorities. Equipped with valuable beauty skills and a greater sense of confidence and self-esteem, they have a greater chance of getting access to work and forging a career in beauty.
Since the beginning of the program, more than 67,000 women had access to professional training through our training programs.
Beauty for a Better Life in action
Focus on two local programs: India and Vietnam.
Designed by the Fondation L’Oréal and powered by L’Oréal India and local NGOs (Sambhav Foundation and Naandi Foundation), the Beauty for a Better Life training program has in 2024 supported 12,255 women coming from underprivileged backgrounds in ten local regions.
Sambhav Foundation has been a partner since 2014, working as a non-profit dedicated to social justice and empowering vulnerable segments of society. This foundation focuses on providing infrastructure, education, and livelihood opportunities, specifically mentoring and nurturing individuals and groups to become entrepreneurs managing businesses or micro-enterprises.
L'Oréal India also partnered with Naandi Foundation starting in 2024. This is one of India's largest multi-sector non-profits, focusing on poverty reduction through various initiatives including education, skill development, and youth employment.
Globally, vulnerable women participating in these programs benefit from training centered around entrepreneurship, micro-enterprise management, and professional skill development aimed at facilitating their entry or re-entry into the workforce.

We operate our longest running program in Vietnam, where we work with multiple non-profit organizations including Care, Enfants et Développement, Hagar, Peace House Shelter, Saigon Children charity, Vietnam Red Cross, and Yen Bai Women’s Union in provinces across the country, from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh.
Together, we support young women aged 15-25, including single mothers (prioritising those who are unemployed), victims of physical and sexual abuse or domestic violence, orphans, victims of human trafficking, people from disadvantaged backgrounds and former prisoners.
Through free, vocational training in hairdressing and make-up, more than 5, 320 students have graduated since 2009, with 100% finding jobs straight away. Some 1, 152 students graduated in 2024.
