For Women in Science « Génération Jeunes Chercheuses » - behind the scene of the 2016 L’Oréal-UNESCO Fellowships in France
The L’Oréal Foundation has organized on October 12th, for the first time, the event “Génération Jeunes Chercheuses” attended by almost 500 participants including the public and private scientific community, the media, the general public and 2 high school classes.
This event provides an opportunity to discover the scientific work of our 30 young fellows from the 2016 L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science program, through inspiring and rhythmic presentations. A whole afternoon dedicated to those talented researchers that will make tomorrow’s science. At the end of this event, our fellows were awarded by Hervé Navellou, General Manager of L’Oréal France, by the Professor Bernard Meunier, President of the Science Academy and Daniel Janicot, President of the French national Commission for UNESCO. Isabel Marey-Semper concluded this afternoon by inviting participants to sign the Manifesto For Women in Science currently counting 85 000 signers around the world.
